The LSESU Red Lips Project was a week-long project aiming to remind women students of LSE of their intrinsic strength and power, organized in conjunction with the International Women’s Day. Women in Business teamed up with LSESU Women Leaders of Tomorrow and the Women’s Officer have come together to bring to you this new campaign!
Over the course of the week, there was a launch party, in which LSE alumni and female BOSS, general manager for UK and Europe at Fashion Fair Beauty Products LTD Connie Jackson was the lead speaker. Throughout the week students of the LSE could take a photo in the booth, sharing what makes them powerful. This was all rounded off with a closing party at Sway bar at the end of the week.
ORIGINS: Stanford, USA - It began with The Red Lips Project where women shared their thoughts on the question “What makes you feel powerful?” alongside pictures portraying each person’s individuality with their red lips as a unifying element.
Let's just take a moment to really appreciate why Dr Mandy Lehto is so awesome.
She's a Cambridge graduate, an award winning corporate image adviser, an entrepreneur and previously held the role of a director at an international investment bank.
She teaches you how to be the best version of yourself.
Mandy believes that the core of strong personal presence is authenticity. Her unique combination of senior corporate experience, coaching and image skills give her clients access to powerful bespoke tools to identify and exude their best possible selves.
This year she taught us how to brand ourselves, how to dress, how to network and of course, how to excel in interviews.
Portraits of Progress, our flagship event this year, brings the top firms in the industry to the door step of LSE, giving students a platform to network, and explore, alongside the panel, what it really means to be a Women in Business.
Special thanks to Ashanti Omkar. Omark is a London based BBC radio presenter and is the brainchild behind Omkari Consultancy. She has worked as a consultant with many multinationals before her media career, as a corporate data warehousing consultant, for prestigious corporate companies such as Oracle, SAP Business Objects, Pepsi Co and The Hilton Group.
